MOUNTAIN HOME - Former U.S. Attorney and candidate for the U.S. Senate, Conner Eldridge today challenged incumbent Senator John Boozman to a debate on any Saturday until the election in Mountain Home at KJMT radio station, which agreed to host the debate. So far there have been three U.S. Senate debates, and Senator Boozman has only participated in one, failing to share any vision, values, or solutions with the people of Arkansas leading up to the election.

"Since February I've been challenging Sen. Boozman to debate - any time and any where - so he can defend his record in the U.S. Senate and the voters can see the clear distinction in this race," said Eldridge. "The debate held last week was a good first start, but there are still a whole host of issues facing Arkansans that we didn't get to discuss, and Sen. Boozman needs to explain many of his positions to hardworking Arkansans.

"Sen. Boozman's refusal to debate is another example of how he is silent and absent from the people of our great state. Arkansans deserve a a U.S. Senator who will stand up, speak out and fight for them in Congress - and that's exactly the kind of leader I will be. Arkansans deserve to see that distinction before Election Day, and so I invite Senator Boozman to debate any Saturday before Election Day."
