Eldridge Statement on Supreme Court Nomination

LITTLE ROCK – Former prosecutor and U.S. Attorney Conner Eldridge, who is running for the U.S. Senate, today released the following statement after President Obama nominated Chief Judge Merrick Garland to the U.S. Supreme Court. Within minutes, Senator Boozman doubled down on his refusal to meet with the nominee, and he continues to oppose a public vetting of the nominee so the American public can make an informed decision.

Statement from Conner Eldridge:

“The American people deserve to have this nominee fully vetted so they can make an informed decision and have their voices heard. But, Senator Boozman won’t even listen. Taxpayers are paying him $174,000 a year (plus benefits) – it seems to me he’s running out of excuses not to work.”
