Eldridge Invites Boozman, Gilbert to Participate In 5 Debates, 5 Town Hall Forums

LITTLE ROCK – Former prosecutor and U.S. Attorney Conner Eldridge, who is running for the U.S. Senate, today said he congratulates former Congressman and current U.S. Senator John Boozman on securing his nomination and invited him to participate in five televised debates and five town hall forums around the state to take questions directly from voters. Eldridge also invited Frank Gilbert, the Libertarian Party nominee, to participate.

“I congratulate Senator Boozman on securing his party’s nomination for the U.S. Senate, and I look forward to an honest, respectful campaign focused on the issues,” said Eldridge. “Voters deserve to know where we stand on the issues, and so I call on Senator Boozman and Frank Gilbert to join me in participating in five televised debates and five town hall forums across the state. Arkansans deserve to have their voices heard and their questions answered.”

Eldridge is calling for a total of five televised debates – one debate in each congressional district and participation in the AETN statewide debate. Eldridge is also calling for five town hall forums where voters ask questions directly to the candidates. The forums would be held in Fort Smith, Jonesboro, Pine Bluff, Rogers and Texarkana. Eldridge said the logistics and details of each debate and town hall can be worked out between the hosting organizations and the candidates, but agreeing to participate in them is a necessary first step.

“This is a critical election with too much at stake not to give voters honest debate and clear answers,” said Eldridge.
