Eldridge Campaign Criticizes $1.1 Trillion Spending Bill
LITTLE ROCK – Former prosecutor and U.S. Attorney Conner Eldridge’s campaign for the U.S. Senate today issued the following statement in response to Congress passing a $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill that is not paid for and adds to the federal budget deficit.
Statement from Brad Howard, campaign spokesperson:
“Throughout his 15 years in Washington, Senator Boozman has time and again voted for these types of last-minute, secretly-negotiated bills that increase spending and add to the deficit. Now, Senator Boozman is changing his stripes, but it won’t fool Arkansas voters. This is Washington insider politics at its worst, and the only way to change Washington is to send a strong, new voice like Conner Eldridge to the U.S Senate. Conner will fight aggressively to stop wasteful spending by both political parties and balance the budget. Rather than just showing up to vote, he will actually bring transparency and common sense to the budgeting process and will consistently fight for hardworking Arkansans and their taxpayer dollars.”
