CONWAY, AR - Former U.S. Attorney and candidate for the U.S. Senate, Conner Eldridge today participated in AETN's U.S. Senate Debate in Conway, Arkansas. Sen. Boozman's first to participate in during this election, Wednesday's debate saw Eldridge, Sen. Boozman, and Libertarian Frank Gilbert discuss a number of issues, including presidential politics, healthcare, and education. Throughout the debate, Eldridge promised to be a strong, new voice for Arkansas, prioritizing keeping our country safe, growing the economy, and standing up for all Arkansans.

In his opening remarks, Eldridge laid out the stark distinctions in the race for U.S. Senate, saying, "It's time we had something different for the state of Arkansas, and that's why I'm running. I will be the strong new leader for our state who will fight tooth and nail for all Arkansans."

Among other issues discussed in the debate, Eldridge discussed national security and keeping Arkansas and America safe from foreign and domestic threats as he did as U.S. Attorney; restoring trust in the political process; and education - emphasizing the need to empower teachers throughout Arkansas and America. "We've got to support and build up teachers at the local, state and federal level," Eldridge said.

Eldridge also issued a challenge to both Sen. Boozman and Mr. Gilbert, saying, "Whoever should be elected this November, I believe should promise to the people of Arkansas that they will travel to all 75 counties once a year every year during his term in the U.S. Senate."

Acknowledging the breadth of topics still left uncovered, Eldridge invited Sen. Boozman to participate in future debates around the state. "Our country and state demand answers," said Eldridge. "I would invite you to debate on a whole host of issues not even touched on today and discuss with Mr. Gilbert, me, and the people of Arkansas the issues that matter to them.

"I am running to be a strong, new voice for Arkansas, put America and Arkansas over party, rhetoric, and political noise, and get results for the people of this state."
