Defend the Second Amendment

huntingGrowing up in rural Arkansas, Conner learned the values of hard work, personal responsibility and integrity. Many of those values he learned on his family’s farm and at his family’s small business.  Conner also learned these values in deer camps and duck blinds and working alongside our law enforcement community as a prosecutor.

As a hunter and outdoorsman, Conner firmly believes in our Second Amendment rights.  Responsible gun ownership has been an Arkansas tradition and a core value passed down through generations – a value that must be preserved.  It is a tradition that Conner plans to pass down to his three young sons.

The Second Amendment is about much more than hunting. It declares our individual right to use arms for self-defense.  Conner has a concealed carry permit for that very reason – to protect his family.

  • Conner will oppose all attempts to ban guns in this country or any law that would keep guns out of the hands of law-abiding American citizens who want to defend themselves and their families.
  • We must also work together to address the problem of violence in our country. As a prosecutor, Conner worked shoulder-to-shoulder with law enforcement to investigate, arrest and prosecute those who commit violent and heinous crimes. As Arkansas’s next United States Senator, Conner will do everything he can to make our communities safer.
  • The laws already on the books must be enforced. Criminals who illegally use guns to commit crimes, especially violent crimes, must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.  Conner has prosecuted many violent criminals and will seek to empower law enforcement and prosecutors to continue this work.
  • Conner will be a fierce advocate to strengthen our nation’s approach to mental illness and find ways to improve how we diagnose and treat those affected by it.
