End Discrimination & Advocate for Equality

Conner’s plan to fight discrimination and advocate for equal opportunity

  • Support paid family and medical leave legislation.
  • Preserve and protect the Violence Against Women Act and oppose attempts to repeal our nation’s hate crime laws.
  • Protect the fundamental rights and freedoms for all Arkansans and fight against the intrusion of the federal government into our personal lives.
  • Demand equal pay for equal work; Make child care more accessible and affordable for all.
  • Protect women’s rights and afford them the trust to make their own healthcare decisions.
  • Modernize the Voting Rights Act. By stopping discrimination at the ballot box and ensuring that every American can register to vote and cast a ballot without unconstitutional barriers.

Our nation was built on the fundamental ideal that all men and women are created equal. While our country has struggled to realize that ideal, we have made incredible progress over the last 220 years. Yet, discrimination continues to harmfully affect too many Arkansans.

Conner believes every Arkansan should be treated equally under the law. We should stand against prejudice and discrimination in any form.

As the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas, Conner prosecuted a case that resulted in the first-ever conviction at trial and first sentencing under the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act.  A law that Senator Boozman voted against.

Senator Boozman’s record is unimaginable.  He has consistently voted against equal pay for equal work and against efforts to protect Arkansans in the workplace from discrimination, against the Violence Against Women Act, and against the Hate Crimes Prevention Act.
